On 26 November 1956, a debate in Lok Sabha brought up the issue of refugee settlements in India. It was suggested that nothing much is being done for the industrial development of Ulhasnagar. In response, the Deputy Minister of Rehabilitation said that not many people are willing to come forward to set up industries in Ulhasnagar.

Sindhi Halchal Archive attempts to provide a glimpse of the vibrant Sindhi entrepreneurial scene through the advertisements. It seeks to be a unique way of expanding post-partition history in India by looking at advertising and entrepreneurship.
